Abstract
Osteochondroma is known to be a benign tumor of the bone and may be encountered in practically any bone, which has developed from cartilage. This tumor is observed most often on the long bones and, particularly, at the metaphysial region. As is well known, the lesion may be solitary or multiple. However, there are a few reports which have described dystocia due to this tumor in the pelvic bones. This is a report of a 28 y.o., G-6, P-5, woman who had had three prolongen labors with neonatal deaths because of an Osteochondroma of the pubic bone. Previously she had two spontaneous normal deliveries. On admission, the diagnosis was Osteochorndroma of the Lt. pubic bone and pregnancy 20 weeks. After removal of the bony tumor, she had a spontaneous normal delivery without any complic-ations. The mother and baby are living and healthy.
